Summer Library Program

2024 Summer Library Program

Summer is here, so let’s get reading! The Summer Library Program will fill your summer with fun for the whole family, from reading challenges to magic shows and animal encounters.

When Does the Summer Library Program Start?

The Summer Library Program starts on different dates at different libraries, but most begin in early June and go through late July or early August. Follow your library on social media, check their website, or ask next time you’re there. Find your library.

Reading is Winning!

Every library offers an exciting reading challenge for kids, teens, and adults to encourage everyone to dive into the pages of books all summer long. When you sign up for Summer Library Program, you’ll get information on the reading challenge and everything happening at your library this summer.

A Summer Of Fun

Meet a snake. Make some magic. Dance to the beat!

Professional performers, from magicians to animal ambassadors, are coming to your public library this summer to make learning fun.

Check the Performer and Program Schedule (needs update) for our 24 member libraries!

Also, many libraries offer summer library programs for teens and adults too. Be sure to check in with your local library about their summer library program offerings.

Check out this year’s Library Treasure Adventure for all ages running June 1 through August 31. Pick up your treasure adventure map at any of the 24 libraries, solve clues, get your treasure map stamped, and enter for a chance to win prizes!
