Reading all summer helps children stay engaged, strengthen their skills, and avoid the “summer slide,” but summer learning matters for teens and adults, too.
Your library makes it easy to keep learning all summer long with reading challenges, hands-on activities, and fun opportunities for all ages. Be sure to join a summer reading challenge at your library!
Libraries are also bringing plenty of excitement to summer with special events for all ages. Check out the Bridges Library System supported 2026 Summer Library Performers and Workshops.
