Following a party of adventurers, participants visited libraries, gathered letters and stamps, and then solved passwords to unlock the magic the dragons left behind for a chance to win prizes.

How did it work?

Visitors were invited to journey to any of the 22 participating member library locations . The game began on Monday, June 2, 2025. Elm Grove Public Library and Irvin L. Young Memorial Library in Whitewater sat this journey out due to special projects and scheduling limitations.

  1. Picked up materials at a library of their choice and started the game with the Journey of Dragons map and the Library Realms list. Everyone was welcome to have their own map, one per player.
  2. Chose a realm to begin. Libraries could be visited in any order.
  3. At each library, participants found the game poster, recorded the letters to solve the passwords, and read the story. Reading the story was optional, but was pretty cool.
  4. Then they visited the designated library desk to have letter(s) reviewed and maps stamped. Players had to be present to receive a stamp.
  5. Participants continued their by visiting other libraries to record letters, get stamped, and read the stories as they tried to unscramble the passwords.
  6. They earned an entry form for each completed realm. That was up to four chances to win!
  7. Participants shared their solved password with library staff at the designated desk and received entry forms and the final stories.

Chance to win prizes!

An active Bridges Library System CAFÉ library card was required to be eligible to win. (See the winners list below).

A CAFÉ card gives borrowing privileges at all 24 member libraries and access to shared digital collections. Checking out items was not required, but is always encouraged. Most items may be returned to any Bridges library.

  • Earned an entry form for each completed realm by solving the password and collecting all the stamps. Four realms means up to four chances to win!
  • There were four prizes awarded each month. Entries rolled over each month! Only one winner per household per month.
  • The last day to complete the challenge and submit entry forms was Friday, August 29, 2025.
  • Winners were drawn by system staff and notified via email and/or phone.

What were the prizes?

Great prizes were awarded each month! Prizes were drawn randomly by system staff at the beginning of July, August and September 2025 from the paper entry forms received. Winners were contacted by phone or email to arrange for pick up.
