Bridges Library System staff, member library staff, library trustees, and library friends had a great day attending Library Legislative Day at the capitol in Madison on February 11, 2025.
The event provided an opportunity to meet with legislators and their staff to share stories about how libraries make a positive impact. We also were able to thank them for their ongoing support for libraries in Wisconsin.
Reach out to your elected officials.
- Write an email or a letter to send to your legislator.
- Find the contact information for the elected official(s) you want to send it to.
We suggest sending one to your state senator, state representative, mayor, and/or alderpersons. - Write a few sentences about why you’re thankful for your library.
- Include your name, address, and home library so your official knows who it’s from.
- Send your letter or email to your elected officials.
