Summer Library Program

2023 Summer Library Program

Summer is here, so let’s get reading! The Summer Library Program will fill your summer with fun for the whole family, from reading challenges to magic shows and animal encounters.

When Does the Summer Library Program Start?

The Summer Library Program starts on different dates at different libraries, but most begin in early June and go through late July or early August. Follow your library on social media, check their website, or ask next time you’re there. Find your library.

Reading is Winning!

Every library offers an exciting reading challenge for kids, teens, and adults to encourage everyone to dive into the pages of books all summer long. When you sign up for Summer Library Program, you’ll get information on the reading challenge and everything happening at your library this summer.

You can even go virtual and earn badges as you read with the free Beanstack reading app! Find a Beanstack reading challenge.

This project was brought to you by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services grant LS-00-19-0050-19.

A Summer Of Fun

Meet a snake. Make some magic. Dance to the beat!

Professional performers, from storytellers to comedians to animal ambassadors, are coming to your public library this summer to make learning fun.

Also, many libraries offer summer library programs for teens and adults too. Be sure to check in with your local library about their summer library program offerings.
